The pyramid approach to future evolution with most people being
left in the cold would seem to match the few will be chosen
theme of apopcalytic prophecies. I think that this, like most
prophecies are based on how things will turn out if they continue
as they are. Presently, on a macro-level, humanity is operating
on the principles of a group of wild dogs tearing at a piece of
meat. If a change is made where rationalization prevails, then
I think the few will be chosen scenario will not apply as it is
inconsistent with using the conscience as a regulatory vehicle
(also described as love). There is a movie called Zardoz which
explores the psychological implications of a pyramid approach
based on human entities being excluded from the future. A better
pyramid version would have our machinery and technology as the
expanding base.
