ANNOTATION: Diversity as a virtue.
The Trojan horse "ideosphere" carries in the meme "diversity is
an asset". Consider the biosphere: Is the more diverse tropical
eco-system "healthier" than the arctic eco-system?
Diversity's positive relation to health should be considered a
hypothesis, not a co-memetic definition.

I disagree. Diversity is "healthier" because when disaster strikes
and there is some kind of change in the environment the more diversity
the greater the chance that some of the present inhabitants of
that environment will survive. If a species has evolved so that it fills
one evolutionary niche perfectly (and to the exclusion of all others)
it will find that when circumstances change it will not survive.

The abuse among, e.g., North American academia, of a foggy conceptualization of diversity, as well as its forceful application in the workforce, can't be seen simply as something entirely beneficial or even positive. This is particularly true in the aforesaid example since the alleged diversity is, by and large, fictional and ideological in nature. Isn't the preoccupation with "diversity" as being good for "health" just a bit of a misnomer? After all, diversity is basically saying that no individual meme is strong enough to dominate. Thus, rather than being good for health, it simply feeds the destructive cycle. This leads to a fragmented worldview, and is resolved by one of two situations:
a) One meta-meme becomes strong enough to dominate the system.
b) The "Tolerance" meta-meme is invoked. This is a special case because the Tolerance meta-meme also functions as a wide-spectrum vaccime and, often, confers severe meme-allergies to memes perceived as "intolerant." Often cited is the example of Biblical Christianity. As Tolerance employs a dicrete Villain vs. Victim complex, any meme not finding some way of attaching itself to the Tolerance meme is automatically and violently opposed. Thus, the Biblical Christianity meta-meme, in refusing to voluntarily surrender its right to exist in the ideosphere, is violently assaulted, while the more liberal varieties, being more inert, are merely left to a process of attrition. The focus on a diversity of memes is one method of the Tolerance meta-meme to ensure that no other meme is allowed to gain space in the ideosphere. This represents what I would term "The Feudalism of the Ideophere" or "Memetic Feudalism" - that is, the emphasis on diversity is a vassal-meme of the Tolerance meta-meme (or liege-meme). This is why this diversity will almost never include memes based on absolutes, because such memes could eventually pose a threat to the Tolerance meta-meme's mode of fortification - specifically the assumption that "all memes are false, therefore all memes should be equal." Once you begin to examine the behavior of these memes, I believe that you too will see the value of Memetic Feudalism and the dangers of letting the Tolerance meta-meme grow too large - for it is this meme which is clear-cutting, starving, and burning away the forests of the ideosphere. It is this meme which, if allowed to grow to its full size, would lead to paralysis of the physical realm as well as of the ideological. Mark my words, the Tolerance meta-meme has the potential to be the memetic equivalent of Ebola or the Black Death!
note:diversity as a state is not identical with the diversity meme.
