ANNOTATION: Learning through Memes
The final sentance in the definition of a Meme in the lexicon states "All transmitted knowledge is memetic." So, everything that we are taught, is memetic. Without Memes, most of what we know, we wouldn't know. Learning History, is completely Memetic. We couldn't experience it for ourselves, it must therefore be communicated to us. Nearly everything we 'know' was taught to us, through Memes. Is learning bad?
I dont think Memes are these Nasty virus like organisms people keep talking about. Some people can create Memes to serve them, and use these Memes for bad purposes. Hahaha...this sounds so corny... 'Memes aren't bad, people who make bad Memes are bad.' (Guns don't kill people...). But what do you think Memes are? Memes are just thoughts of people, which are then communicated. People have to create them first. People have to learn them first, before they can communicate them. Whether they communcate these lessons in a harmful way or not, is completely up to them.
Of course, i could be completely wrong.
