ANNOTATION: memes are winning the competition for the human
It strikes me quite clearly that, since memetic evolution is significantly more flexilbe, and orders of magnitude faster as type of evolution, that it should "solve problems" faster than do genes.
By problems I mean things like energy aquisition, reproduction, security, diversity, etc. What is interesting, then is that memes will be trying to solve problems on the human platform that are different from the ones that genes are solving on the human platform.
Memes will solve thier problems first, though, because memetic evolution is so much faster. Thus the human is increasing becoming an animal of culture rather than an animal of biology.
