I think that most of what I have read is foolish rhetoric!
One cannot allow themselves to be caught up in trying to figure out the "meaning of life" for if we spend our lives searching for such we shall have wasted it on foolish notions that will never deliver!
I have read several comments in this forum on this subject and it is beyond my comprehension that some of these people are highly educated yet lack common sense! My opinion is such that life is life! The scientific definition of life is defined only in the terms of the characteristics we attribute to it! such as: Chemical uniqueness(diversity)
Complexity:(Atoms and molecules combined..cells..etc)
Reproduction: (life does not arise spontaneously but comes only from prior life through process of reproduction)
Possesion of genectic code: (contained in DNA)
Metabolism:(Obtaining nutrients from the environment)
Development:( Life cycle, changes)
Environmental interaction: ( responding to stimuli)
The controversy of " origin of life" is debatable from scholar to scholar, however, it is apparent that given the complexity of the reactions and molecules that result in the properties of life, how could life have originated from nonliving substances? Scientific experiements have been applied not to disprove religious concepts yet only to prove that life could have evolved under conditions where life did not exist, such as earth in its early stages without life or even a minute organic compound. The theory, I will not go into details for it may bore you, did not disprove that life could have formed from the sparks of lightening with a mixture of methane, hydrogen, ammonia, and water ( primitive earth's conditions). I do not agree completely with this theory, however, the jest of my logic in telling you this is in hopes of not disproving your ideas of your purpose in life, but to enlighten you that "meaning of life" is not rediculus rhetoric of why you are here! My "purpose in life" is my work, my family, goals, and although I have been highly educated is to continue to be educated for no one is above learning! I cannot say I know nothing, for I do know, for to know is to exist as I read in another comment! I agree completely with that concept! Any organism with the ability to learn knows and thinks and to think means that you know! If you have a brain then you must know! Of course, we cannot know everything for then we shall be as God! And Yes I believe in God, I believe that God exists! All life, however its start, was formed by an outside source! Even in my detailed studies of science and speaking with other Scientists, most believe that life had to originate from God. All scientist know that energy can only be changed in form, not created! Therefore if life began, and it did, then a force outside earth established it!
Therefore the meaning, wich is defined as signification, purpose, intent or explanation, of life is ... We are unique, complex, instinctly driven to reproduce and pass on our genes to the next generation.
Now.. Some of you seem to be "not" giving the "meaning of life" yet trying to discover the meaning of your inner purpose in life, which is another definition all in itself. We all have to search for our own purpose in life, If that is what you want to discuss then say so... but the definition of "meaning of life" is as I stated above, it is not ambiguous nor is it to be defined as an inner choice of your definition! It is scientifically proven for what it is!

You have a lot of logical beliefs, considering your inability to understand the full concept of things. First of all, your God, regardless of what you think, does not exist. It was created by some kind of government essence in an attempt to,
1.) Discredit Peaganism (the religious enemy)
2.) To control the people in a manner that agrees with the established laws of that particular time.
3.) To provide a basis for moral standards
4.) To give the common people something to believe in, therefore not causing chaos within a civilized society.
5.) To provide the ability to retranslate through poetic, vague writtings, thereby enabling all generations to adapt to the old written word.
You are simply a fool. The future will indeed prove that. Regardless of your poetic rantings and your desperate attempts to twist scientific evidence into theological proof, is absolutely absurd. You are sick. Once again, the future will prove ultimately, the differences between you (false), and me (truth). That I absolutely can guarantee. The world is changing, slowly but surely, and people like you will simply be whispers in the wind, quickly forgotten, and nonexistent.
I respect your perspective because it's in my nature too. But, I also believe that society and our species as a whole will evolve well past the point of a boogey-man in the sky. Remember, it is in our nature to create something out of fear of the unknown. Ask every tribe on earth, they'll tell you their own beliefs (a product of fear) regarding everythings creation. It was just the civilized species of homosapien that actually perfected one to beat all the rest. These are facts and regardless of your reality, facts will never change. The meaning of life however, is absurdly difficult to answer. But since I spent so much time on you I will have to cheat this one quickly. I personally think there is no meaning to life, except to allow some other source of existence to survive. Not your god, but something. That is the only explanation I can come up with. We are here to help something else survive. Therefore, that just may be our meaning to survive. We were programed vigoursly to enable somebody elses existence. Perhaps molecules and solar systems are not that different. Perhaps there is a logical formula for everything.
