In my opinion, we are pitifully equipped organisms in the midst
of infinity. Our purpose is to infect the universe with our
presence until eradicated. Our value is a matter of perspective,
universally speaking: in an infinite universe, nothing we have ever
done or ever will do will be anything other than completely futile
and without significance. When you ask for the meaning of life, do
any of the above fit...description, purpose, value as part of a
meaning. I mean, what does meaning mean? And why do some of you
seem to insist you know what 'it' is? Isn't the first step
towards wisdom to realize you know nothing? You bible thumpers
are especially irritating...constantly confusing belief with fact
and condemning and judging and punishing left and right. I find
it hard to believe anyone could be eternally punished for any
deed while living on earth, given that we are all so pitifully
equipped to understand anything. Author: Anonymous (ullysses2000@yahoo.com) Date: Nov 20, 2000REPLY: Dear Dr
I with u man. these people have lost the plot. Anyway what r you a doctor of because I want to become a man of knowledge or percieved knowledge and I was wondering if you could help me in my little quest. But I have found most academics very aggessive and territorial nearly to the point of ignorant but your statement "the man who knows something knows that he knows nothing at all " is the basis for my life.
Please take time to get in contact with me it might be worth your while.
