Although your definition of the Meaning of Life is interesting, if somewhat dry, I really would have expected more from PCP. A site that attempts to answer age-old questions cannot start by giving simple evolution as the ultimate meaning of life. This is something for discussion, not statements, and it should have been the last you thing decided on, not the first. Also, your definition doesn't really answer the central question. Fine, the Meaning of Life is increased fitness, this still doesn't answer the basic question of WHY? In this, your answer is no different from the examples you give as being limited. In my opinion, you shouldn't have started out so biased. No one I know of (and I know a lot of people) is qualified to say whether God does or does not exist. By assuming that there is no God from the beginning, you committed a serious logic error. It's a rather common one in the scientific community, no doubt due to the friction between it and Religion, but an error nontheless. The simple fact is that logic has its limits, thinking has its limits, in short- WE have our limits (the reasons are easily demonstratable, but as they take some time and are themselves limited to our thinking, I'll leave them out for now). We may be able to overcome some of them someday, but for now, you should keep more of an open mind. Nice site, otherwise.
