ANNOTATION:
The Social Psychological Aspect of The Concept of Infinity

As stated in my first published work, "Infinitism: Secret Key To The Doors of Wisdom", Copyright 1994 Fenyo, Library of Congress:

"The ultimate concept for non-violent mass social psychological change is the concept of infinity."

I also stated that 'no other concept has the ability to diminish narrow-minded, short-term shallow thinking as much as that of infinity. And that in order to bring about a world of True Enlightenment, of science in harmony with spiritual sentiment(s), we need to disseminate the concept of infinity in as many ways as possible to as many people as possible. Only then will the world become sufficiently open-minded, long-term oriented and deep thinking or wise, so as to allow for democracy to work for the benefit of all. The initial intense insecurity and fear of infinity eventually becomes a sense of universal love, infinite uniqueness and tolerance towards tolerant others. If the world's leaders and intellectuals want to give rise to a world based on the deepest respect for quality life for all of humanity, if they want non-violent methods of social change to become overwhelmingly preferred, if they want a world free of extremism and insensitive, quantity oriented (as opposed to quality oriented) commercial monopolism then they must introduce the concept of infinity to the masses. And one of the most effective methods would be large, strategically-placed billboards with starscaped images and the words: Have you thought about infinity today? (TM) The reality of no beginning and no end to space, time and change! Open your mind and heart to the awe and mystery of it all... . This is exactly what I and my Society for the Dissemination of The Concept of Infinity have been seeking to achieve. INFINITY has penultimate practical social and scientific implications.

REPLY:

I completely accept the existence of infinity, but I find your conclusions about social improvement in human behavior concerning the belief in the concept as being absurd. If everything is infinite then humans hold no special place within it except in our own minds. Our little niche of existence, which we humans perceive in time and space, is so insignificant compared to the concept of infinity, we create an illusion of reality for ourselves using our limited senses for perception to give us balance, purpose and meaning in life. While you expect order to arise from your transformation in beliefs, you have just as much chance of creating chaos. Sadly, it's not part of human nature to be open-minded and free thinking, those that are are the exceptions, religious beliefs flourish because of our fear of the unknown, and wanting someone else to tell us it will all be okay if we just follow the rules. We are, afterall, just social animals with a herd mentality, we haven't yet evolved into a life-form of high enough intelligence to over come our false pride, greed and penchant for violence. At least not here and now in this niche of infinity.
