ANNOTATION:
Christianism is _not_ monotheist

If you know something of the story of modern religions, then you'll be aware
that christianism has many branches: catholic, orthodox and many more churches.
Well, the Roman Catholic Church for one does keep a plethora of
saints, virgins and marthirs that take the role of "divinities" in
other polytheist religions. They have the identity, the image,
the powers... that are commonly associated to Gods.

It is quite difficult for the layman to accept the idea of God as
a holistic concept: for him/her, it's easier to subdivide the concept
into more digestible chunks called divinities.

So, over time religions tend to produce this sub-Gods, with their
own personalities, that fill the gap between the supreme God and
his creatures.
