ANNOTATION:
Causality

It is certainly true that, from the perspective of an observer, the universe is non-deterministic. This should not be interpreted to imply that there are truly "free" (non-causal) events. Therefore, the term "random" should not be taken to mean non-causal, but instead, unpredictable. Therefore terms such as "random" are only relevant with respect to conscious observers and play no actual role otherwise. In other words, the fact that there are events for which we cannot determine a cause, should not be interpreted to be non-causal events. One logically might as well assert God in such cases.
