There is a meme which has infected Western thought from the earliest times of 'civilisation'. I identify it as the 'Might is Right' meme. It is a delusion that has been used by vested interests to deprive us and our descendants of the quality of life that is our due. It is at the base of notions of 'fitness' to survive.
We do not live in a biblical fairytale - strength is not a sign of right and survival is not always a sign if fitness.
