ANNOTATION: The Art of Thriving
As I attempt to grasp the rather broad (and interdisciplinary) concept of evolutionary cybernetics, a particular thought process sprung to mind:
It would seem that evolution has brought about organized systems that have the ability to thrive in particular environments. However, what is more accurate is that nature has generated an "Art of Thriving" that is altogether independent of environmental/special circumstance. Let me clarify by presenting the problem of the Modern Human, which befuddles psychologists and other scientists with its success. If the vast span of Homo sapiens' existence prescribed mammoths and berries for our Darwinian progress, how is it that we can continue to progress through level after level of complexity while experiencing multiple sociological metasystem transitions?
The answer lies in the Art of Thriving, or Evolutionary Cybernetics. Humans beyond all other creatures have mastered the method of organizing in general, beyond just organizing methods of mammoth hunting and berry picking. It appears that throughout time, nature has not been randomly procreating based on environmental survivability, but has been evolving through system after system of organizational ability.
Evolution has never appeared more metaphysical to me. Do you think I am beginning to understand the concepts of this article?
