This is why we die.
Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eates thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
This is how we can live eternally with our Creator.
1. EVERY PERSON NEEDS TO BE SAVED:
For all have sinned and come short of
the glory of God. Romans 3:23
2. NO ONE CAN SAVE HIMSELF:
Not by works of righteousness which we
have done, but according to His mercy
He saved us. Titus 3:5
3. WE NEED A SUBSTITUTE:
(One who can pay the price of sin for us.)
This is the work of God, that ye believe on
Him whom he hath sent. John 6:29
For God so loved the world that he gave
His only begotten Son that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life. John 3:16
4.JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY OF
SALVATION:
Neither is there salvation in any other, for
there is none other name under heaven
given among men whereby we must be
saved. Acts 4:12
5. REPENT OF SIN AND TURN TO GOD:
(From your heart, ask the Lord to save
you.) For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans
10:13
What to pray
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that
Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am
willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart
and life as my personal Saviour.

Religion is one of the best forms of entertainment today. It has been marginalized to forms of art in out current society based on epestime principals. It is almost as if our unconscious is speaking to us through art, particularly movies. A.I., Terminator, The Matrix, and many movies under the horror genre speak to a soul who desires immortality. (Christian demonization of immortality on earth is a related yet separate subject). In my opinion, the purpose of religion is to seek immortality. The majority of Christian sects guarantee the immortality of the soul, but few offer a free ticket to a utopian after life. My point: The purpose of life is to to keep living. I prefer realism over romantic dreams of an after life. One should structure reality over the constructs of religious forces only to better understand the meaning of life.
