Forensic Cybernetics Society, a nonprofit, research and development
outgrowth of Forensic Cybernetics, Ltd, is a new addition to the
field...One in which two complex self-organizing systems within
modern industrial society (the legal or judicial community and the
information science community) come together in the courtrooms,
and classrooms of the world to wrestle with issues of computers and
machines playing a larger and larger role.
We examine the role of computers "giving evidence", machines
making life-decisions, informational privacy being managed by
machines, the "fugitive" nature of electronic information, and
the problems of deriving "knowlege" from machine-based "intelligence".
