Having just returned from a six month exchange in Belgium, I was looking for some materials to use in a speech that I must give on my experience. Your essay completely captures the essence of Belgium, and just reading it brought back so many warm memories for me. Living in Belgium was the best experience of my life, and I am seriously considering moving there permanently when I'm older. I just wish it was more well-known by people. I know that here in the U.S., people don't even know where Belgium is on a globe! I will be referring everyone I know to this site to get some insight into Belgian culture and way of life.
