ANNOTATION: Turchin, Joslyn, Heylighen, Bollen and Human Groupthink
Turchin, Joslyn, Heylighen, Bollen are good fellows, but one wonders how much they suffer from Humanism, Scientism, Euro-American Math-fetishism, a White Male bias, an Education or Credentials bias or any of a dozen other forms of Groupthink that may prevent them from reaching the truth on editorial matters. Do they, for instance, comprehend that humans are roughly equivalent to babboons in peace and conflict matters? And have inferior capacities in this regard than do chimps or bonobos, or the even more pacifist gorillas and orang-utans? How do they think about morality, about intelligence, and about wisdom? What do they do about groupthink?
