Being a Belgian I was extremely surprised by the accurate and in dept description of Belgian and us Belgians. You completely captured our overall mentality, that surpasses the minor differences between the Flemish and Wallonians.
While reading, I often thought "Yep, that completely describes who we are".
However, there is one thing I want to add. Although we did not yet produce big names in music (although, never heard of Jacques Brell?), our current Belgian music scene is more alive than ever and is evolving towards an international breakthrough. But here again, we tend to follow our mentality of deliberately not following the standard commercial and PR rules.
You can call it alternative, but to us it is Belgian quality.
